Charity Right Bangladesh is working to remove that barrier through their school meal programs, and every 80 Taka you donate provides one warm, nutritious meal that reaches a child when they need it most, during the school day. This month, the need is urgent and the goal is clear, to feed 4000 children with consistent meals that support healthy growth, strengthen mental and physical development, and improve school attendance, because children are far more likely to show up and stay engaged when they know a meal is waiting for them. A regular meal at school can change the whole rhythm of a child’s day, it gives energy to concentrate, helps them stay attentive, supports their health, and builds a sense of dignity and stability that many children do not get elsewhere. On the remote riverine island of Char Shonpocha, Bogura, 50 children wake up every morning with one place to learn, Ucchash School. For many of them, it is the only school they have ever known. Established by Amal Foundation in 2017, Ucchash provides far more than education. Every child receives quality lessons, school supplies, uniforms, nutritious daily tiffin, and regular health checkups, ensuring they have everything they need to learn and thrive.
