About This Campaign
On the remote riverine island of Char Shonpocha, Bogura, 50 children wake up every morning with one place to learn, Ucchash School. For many of them, it is the only school they have ever known.
Established by Amal Foundation in 2017, Ucchash provides far more than education. Every child receives quality lessons, school supplies, uniforms, nutritious daily tiffin, and regular health checkups, ensuring they have everything they need to learn and thrive.
The school depends entirely on donor support to continue operating.

There is an island in Bogura.
You won't find it on most maps. The families of Char Shonpocha live surrounded by water, hours from the nearest town, and for most of history, decades from the nearest school. Children there grew up without classrooms. They grew up without futures.
In 2017, Amal Foundation crossed that water and built one.
Ucchash School opened its doors to 50 children, ages six to eight. Not just to teach them Bangla, English, and Mathematics, but to give them everything school actually requires: a uniform so they arrive with dignity. Stationery so they can write. A daily tiffin of milk, eggs, and fresh fruit so they are not hungry at their desks. Regular health checkups so illness does not keep them home. Safety education so they know they are worth protecting.
Ucchash is not just a school. For these children, it is proof, for the first time in their lives, that someone decided they matter.

What does it cost to keep one of these children in school for a month?
BDT 1,500.
Not BDT 15,000. Not BDT 1,50,000. BDT 1,500. Less than a single dinner out. Less than one month of a streaming subscription. Less than most of us spend on snacks in a week.
Fifty children are enrolled at Ucchash this year. To keep all of them in school, fed, and healthy for a full academic year, Amal needs BDT 9,00,000. This Uddom campaign is how we get there.
